Teeth Whitening, understanding your options
Over a period of time teeth can become stained and discoloured due to tea, coffee, red wine, smoke, as well as certain medication. These can cause your teeth to appear yellow. This can be resolved by Teeth Whitening treatments. We offer different Whitening systems which all use a safe whienting gel administered by a qualified dentist.
Our dentists are devoted to ensure that you achieve your desired shade of whitening so that you are happy with the end result. We offer 3 different Teeth Whitening systems; In Surgery Whitening, Day or Night Home Whitening, or Enlighten. Enlighten is the only product available which guarantees a B1 shade at the end of treatment!
Botulinum Toxin (Botox)
This is a great way of preventing facial lines without undergoing a surgical prodecure.
We use facial rejuvenation techniques using Botox, which can soften wrinkles for a more youthful appearance.
Once administeres, the botulinum toxin (Botox) relaxes the tiny facial muscles, blocking the nerve impulses in them, leaving the skin looking smoother.
Dermal Fillers fill and plump up lines, wrinkles and grooves to make the skin look more youthful.
Over time, skin’s natural hyaluronic acid is lost giving rise to the appearance of lines, wrinkles and folds. Dermal filers act to replace the hyaluronic acid.
They are also used for lip enhancement, shaping facial, hand and neck contours. The perfect Facial Rejuvenation treatment!
Looking for Heart Lips or Lip Fillers in Bromsgrove?
Dr Nazia has been specially trained and licensed by Professor Bob Khanna in the revolutionary Heart Lips method.
Heart Lips have been specially designed to give you a perfect shaped pout.
Want to change the appearance of your teeth? This may be due to their shape or heavy staining. Veneers can be a great technique to help with this. They can be used to hide gaps, reshape teeth or cover discoloured teeth. These can be an effective (and quicker) alternative to orthodontics.
There are two types of veneers we offer:
This is done by filing away the enamel of the tooth in order to ensure a good bond. Sometimes it can be done with no drilling whatsoever! We will place a temporary veneer whilst we wait for the lab to make yours- this normally takes one week. We then try in your new veneers, and if you’re happy with them we’ll fix them in place!
These are hand made veneers, normally with no drilling of the teeth, and can be done in one appointenent (1-2hours). They are hand crafted in the surgery and can be any desired shade.
It is important that you are happy with the end result therefore we will discus all of your options with you and help you treatment plan your brand new smile!
Porcelain Vs Composite veneers, which one to choose?
They both look great, but which is best for me?
Porcelain can be harder wearing, so for those of you who grind your teeth, this is often the better option. Overtime, your veneers maychip/need changing, in which case we need to drill off the veneer and redo it.
Composite can chip more easily (but is still very hard wearing!), however when it needs changing it can often simply be repaired on the same day.

Dental Onlays (3/4 crowns)
Onlays are used to disguise a damaged or decayed tooth. Teeth at the back of the mouth are more likely to develop cavities as they are used for chewing therefore a lot of force is undertaken on these teeth in particular. In these cases an Inlay/Onlay is used to cover the decay as a filling may not be strong enough, however a crown may also be a suitable treatment option.
Opposed to crowns, a smaller amount of tooth is removed when doing an onlay and it is made to fit the cavity. Once the onlay is bonded into place it’s hard wearing so you can continue with your normal eating habits without the worrying thought of the tooth chipping.
Your Dentist is able to advise to the best treatment options whether it be a Crown or an onlay.
Hyperhidrosis (excess sweating)
This is a common condition in which the sufferer experiences excessive sweating that can often cause embarrassment and distress. Sweating is a necessary bodily response in order to control the temperature of the body which can occur during exercise or in warm surroundings as well as being a result of high levels of anxiety.
People that suffer from Hyperhidrosis, sweating can occur at inappropriate times and in excessive amounts in order to maintain a normal body temperature. Unfortunately there are not any medicines or prescribed treatments for this condition.
