Your child's first dental visit
‘Baby' teeth start to appear from six to ten months. They play an important role as they help with the development of speech and chewing.
By bringing your baby to St Marys Place, you will enable us to monitor the progress and health of your child's teeth whilst also checking to see if there are any future problems before the permanent teeth arrive.
A child's first dental appointment is also about helping parents and guardians understand and learn how best to help their kids achieve good oral health; that also includes dietary advice.

The team at St Marys Dental Care will happily recommend suitable toothbrushes and toothpastes to ensure your child's dental stage of development. We're more than happy to assist with dietary advice to ensure your family maintain happy, healthy smiles. We welcome all new patients and look forward to extending a warm welcome to you and your young family.
-
Slow & Steady
We work at a slower pace when it comes to our little patients. If you have an especially nervous child, please do not hesitate to let us know before hand so we can make their appointment extra special.
We will carefully examine your child's teeth to check on how they are growing and to ensure no complications are developing.
If there is anything untoward found during the examination, don't worry, our dentists are trained to a high level and will be able to cater for your children's needs.
-
Positive Experience
Our unique approach to treating your child is designed around building trust and confidence through positive experiences so we can promote and reinforce good oral hygiene habits whilst instilling the need to care for your teeth.
Dedicated to getting to know your child and not just their symptoms, we aim to learn about any of their inhibitions, anxieties or fears to assess which of our methods is best for them.
